OPERATION THEATRE VALIDATION

An operation theatre (OT) is a specialized, sterile room in a hospital or healthcare facility where surgical procedures are performed. These rooms are equipped with advanced medical equipment like operating tables, surgical instruments, and anesthesia machines, and are designed with specific features to ensure patient and staff safety, including specialized lighting, ventilation, and strict sterilization protocols. Following are the parameters covered under testing:

• Air velocity uniformity measurement under laminar flow
• Air velocity measurement, total supply and exhaust volume calculations and ACPH (air changes per hour)
• HEPA filter integrity test or filter leakage testing using PAO oil
• Cleanroom classification using Particle Counter
• Room Differential Pressure measurements
• Temperature and Relative Humidity measurements
